9 During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.
The Bible calls us to serve in this broken world. God wants us to care for our neighbours who live in vulnerable circumstances.
Together with local partner organisations, we help our neighbours who live in poverty, in order to enable them to develop and live a worthy life. In doing so, we pay attention to all aspects related to human existence.
Based on our vision and mission, we work from the following care values:
Commitment, entrepreneurship and relationship
Kom over en help aims to achieve its mission by supporting vulnerable neighbours to improve their degree of self-reliance. The relevant means are education, income generating activities and social care. For these we cooperate closely with local authorities, Christian organisations (NGO’s), churches, and companies, both in the Netherlands and in the countries in which we work.
Our target areas are located in the formerly communist countries of Albania, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
